#ThursdayThought

“I love mankind; it's people I can't stand.” — Charles M. Schulz, American cartoonist and creator of the comic strip Peanuts (1922-2000)

Maybe you can empathise and agree with that statement? The human race was created to be far more than it has been – it’s meant to be humane, after all. Yet, people have been responsible for so many awful happenings and atrocities in the world.

Maybe that’s how God looks upon us? He created us in His own image, but with the free will He gave us we messed up – big time!

But whilst we might struggle and “can’t stand” some people, He is a forgiving Father who sent His Son to die to pay for all our wrong-doings. He still loves mankind – so much – that He did this for us.

Perhaps our response should be to try as much as we can to be the best of mankind, whilst realising that as people, we will always mess up.
