By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” — Benjamin Franklin, founding father of the United States
Benjamin Franklin was one of the founding fathers of the United States, a group of influential people who united 13 disparate colonies and fought for independence from the United Kingdom, or Great Britain at the time. He was a prolific writer, inventor and he remains one of the most celebrated figures in the US, his image appearing on the $100 bill to this day. His list of inventions include bifocals, the rocking chair, the flexible catheter and the American penny.
None of these achievements could have been accomplished without planning – inventing anything requires meticulous planning, with often hundreds of modifications or more.
So, following on from yesterday’s Scripture, which reads: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (Proverbs 16:3), what are you hoping to achieve this year? Have you made any preparations or plans? If not, you’re preparing to fail. If you have made a plan, then commit it to the Lord – and He will help you!
