“If you’re feeling helpless, help someone.” — Aung San Suu Kyi
You know, one of the best ways of achieving anything in your life is to help others achieve what they want in their lives. “If you’re feeling helpless, help someone.”
Aung San Suu Kyi is an amazing woman. She spent 15 years of her life under house arrest, because she wanted to help her country – Burma – achieve democracy. Under house arrest, she was granted permission to leave Burma under the condition that she never return – she refused. In recognition of her actions, she was awarded the Nobel peace prize in 1991, but she was only released from house arrest in 2010.
As Christians – as we read yesterday – we are called to help one another, encourage each other. Let’s make it our priority today to help someone else. Who know what we might achieve ourselves by doing so.
