“A champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall.” — Serena Williams, former number 1 women’s tennis player, born 1981

We’re all champions. We are champions of our own lives. It’s not about success or fame or fortune; it’s about living a good life and leaving a legacy. We do leave a legacy when we depart this mortal coil, the memories people have of us and how our lives have impacted upon others around us.

However good life may be right now, we will fall from time to time. At times they will be simple stumbles, but on occasions they may be spectacular falls or failures, that stretch and scrutinise our ability to ability to recover. We are champions of our own lives, so let’s get back up, let’s get back out, let’s recover ourselves. And if you’re struggling to recover, remember that there is One who modelled the ultimate recovery for us. Jesus recovered from death, and was resurrected to sit on heaven’s throne. He promised never to leave us or forsake us, and He can help you recover today. Put your trust in Him.

May God Bless You, and we hope to see you again soon.
