We all think of the Sabbath as the Sunday – the last day of the week. But in Biblical times, the Sabbath was a Saturday, because Sunday was the FIRST day of the week.
The Sabbath was a day of rest. A day to do something different to every other day of the week, to rest, to relax, to unwind, to talk to God if you haven’t spoken to Him over the last week.
On Sunday, we START the week by worshipping God in our churches. But Saturday is a day of rest. Do something different today – then worship God tomorrow as you start the week as you mean to go on.
