“Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.” — Psalm 127:1 (NLT)
We can all achieve things in our own strength. We can even do good things in our own strength. We can build all kind of good things, and find a great deal of success.
But when you first had the idea, was it a good idea or a God idea?
When we step out on any venture or adventure, we must check to see if it’s a God idea, or otherwise we are only pleasing ourselves (and sometimes others), but not God. If that’s the case, the venture or adventure will simply come to an end.
If we are to build anything that survives the test of time and lasts, perhaps beyond our lifetime, it must be a God idea. “Unless the Lord the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.”
May you have a fantastic week, full of godly ideas; and we hope to see you soon.
The #SundayScripture chosen each week this year will reflect the daily Scripture verse in the Bible app, YouVersion. Why not download the app, or log in online, each day so that you can read a daily Scripture verse?
