But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. — 1 John 1:7 (NLT)

We’ve all messed up, we’ve all got it wrong and done wrong things in our lives. We simply cannot live up to God’s standards, no matter how hard we try. But we don’t have to. The blood of Jesus, shed on the cross as He willingly gave up His life to pay the price on our behalf, cleanses us from all those wrongs. His blood cleans up the mess we made.

But we still have a part to play. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and are adopted into the family of God, we need to live up to the part. We must live in the light and have fellowship with each other. The early disciples ate together, met together, and were devoted to their Christian walk. Are we as devoted today? How are you doing?

May God Bless You, and we hope to see you soon.

The #SundayScripture chosen each week this year will reflect the daily Scripture verse in the Bible app, YouVersion. Why not download the app, or log in online, each day so that you can read a daily Scripture verse?
