For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17 (NKJV)

What does it mean, “to live by faith?”

Well, before we knew Christ, before we believed in Him, before we declared that He is the Son of God who died on the cross to pay for our wrongs and rose again, before we were turned our back on our wrongs, before we were baptised, and before we followed Jesus; we were dead. The Bible tells us we were “dead to sin” (Ephesians 2:1). And having been born again, new creations in Christ, we realise how our old life was not life, it was a mere existence. We stumbled along from crisis to disaster, from struggle to trouble; and even if we were successful in the eyes of the world, there was little meaning to life. That all changed when we found our faith.

Now, having found our faith in Christ, we know what it truly is to be alive, and to live by faith. Without this faith, we were dead; with this faith, we are alive. Just as Christ is alive, He is alive in us, His Spirit is alive in us, and we live. Hallelujah! If that’s not cause to celebrate, nothing is.

Have a great day today, celebrate the fact that we live by faith, that we are alive because of our faith in Jesus. May God Bless You, and we hope to see you soon.
