What better way to start the New Year than with the word of God as your lamp and the light for your path?

Where has 2021 brought you? Are you living a blessed everyday life? For many of us, perhaps most, it will have brought challenges and difficulties and barriers and obstacles; and we start the New Year wishing and hoping that 2022 will be a better year. And with God on your side, it will be!

In many respects, it’s a dark world. And many would argue that it’s getting darker. But you know what you need when it’s dark? A lamp, or a light! And that’s the word of God. You may have heard the story in God’s word about Jesus being in the boat with His disciples when the storm came. The disciples were deeply afraid; Jesus was deeply asleep! But when the disciples woke Him up, He calmed the seas and the storm.

Maybe 2021 has been a bit stormy and you have had to endure rough and heavy seas, perhaps not. Perhaps 2022 will bring the storms to your life. And you know, the older you get, the more you realise that storms will always come. No matter how you try to avoid them, storms will come. They are inevitable. And when they come, you will wish that you, too, had Jesus in your boat to calm the seas and the storm.

If you don’t have Jesus in your boat; if you don’t have faith in God; maybe this year will be the year to pick up the lamplight and shine it all around, so that you can see your way clearly through the dark and troubled seas. We would love to pray for you, and with you, so please get in touch. Leave a comment on our website or on our social media channels, or getintouch@misfitsministries.co.uk and let us know how we can pray for you.

May God Bless You, and we hope to see you soon.
