#ThursdayThought

“If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore.” — Michele Ruiz, broadcast journalist, author, public speaker (born 1965)

There will be doubters, there’s no doubt about that. There will be those who don’t believe you can do it. There will be those who don’t believe you can make it. There will be those who say you can’t get that far ahead in life. How far will you go?

Go so far that you can’t hear the doubters any longer. And until you get that far, don’t listen to them.

Joseph, in the Bible, knew he would go far. But his brothers not only doubted him, they despised him because of his dreams. They threw him into a pit and sold him into slavery. Despite this, he got so far that he became the prime minister of the country he was taken into slavery. His doubters couldn’t hear him any longer, they couldn’t even see him, he was so far away. You can read about his story in Genesis chapters 37-50.

God had other plans. And that’s the key to making a success in life. Find out what God’s plans are for you, and then just step into the will of God. Easier said than done, I admit. Meanwhile, go so far that you can’t hear the doubters.
