“Listen, I wish I could tell you it gets better, but it doesn’t. You get better.” — Joan Rivers, American comedian, actress, writer, producer, and television host (1933-2014)
There’s another saying, isn’t there, that goes something like: “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger?” It’s of cold comfort at the time of your struggles, but there is truth in that maxim. Struggles make you stronger, battles make you better, obstacles make you an overcomer.
So, don’t sit back and wait for things to get better. Get up, get out, get going, and you will get better. In fact, the Bible tells us to rejoice in our struggles:
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
Romans 5:3 (NLT)
Things don’t get better, we get better. And that gives us hope. May you be hopeful in your struggles today.
May God Bless You, we hope to see you again soon.
