#WednesdayWisdom

“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” — Mother Teresa (1910-1997), Roman Catholic nun, known for her missionary work with the poor in India

How’s your peace? Not found it yet? Or maybe you have lost your peace?

When we see so much suffering in this world, it’s difficult to hold on to our peace. Maybe Mother Teresa knew something we didn’t? When we take action to help others we see suffering, perhaps that is how to regain our peace. After all, we do belong to each other, we are all fellow human beings sharing this planet, no matter how different we might look or speak.

The Bible tells us the same, and says we are all part of one body:

If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it … All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.

Excerpt 1 Corinthians 12:26-27

If you have no peace today, perhaps you need to find your part to play on this planet, remembering that we are all part of humanity and belong to each other. May you find your purpose, and may you find your peace today and forevermore.
