#WednesdayWisdom

“Be patient with yourself. You are growing stronger every day. The weight of the world will become lighter … and you will begin to shine brighter. Don’t give up.” — Robert Tew, former professional rugby league player, born in Australia.

Patience is one of those habits and characteristics that we often strive to obtain, but we only seem to find more situations and opportunities to practice over and over again! I knew I shouldn’t have prayed for patience, as I soon found out. God often gives us opportunities to develop and learn those characteristics we have asked Him for!

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

Ephesians 4:2 (NLT)

The Bible tells us to be patient with each other, and elsewhere it says to “love our neighbour as ourselves.” So, if we are patient with our neighbour, we should also be patient with ourselves. Not so easy, we might find, but we should never give up trying.

Don’t give up!
