WorkClub How does it work?

When you join the WorkClub you have access to the following:

  • Access to our full Job Search listings online. Whilst we post a small selection of jobs on our Facebook page, we literally have hundreds – sometimes thousands – of jobs available online through the Job Search listings. When you join the WorkClub you have full access to this listing.
  • If you let us know what kind of work you are looking for, we will look out for those opportunities for you, and let you know. We do this through our dedicated Facebook page.
  • We help you overcome several of the barriers to employment – see below.
Ministry of Work 002b
  • We give you the opportunity to EARN as you search for work.

Earn with WorkClub How does it work?

When you join the WorkClub you be able to earn with us through our Affiliate Reward Scheme.

We basically reward you for introducing new members to the WorkClub. The more members you introduce, the more you earn. It’s as simple as that.

As a member yourself, we will help you by alerting you to suitable opportunities that you may be interested in. We ask that you – in turn – do the same for any new members you introduce. This is how the club works – you are helping those you introduce, just as you are being helped by the person who introduced you. We will also ask you to share job opportunities through social media.

As your rewards build up, you can use them to:

  • help with your household utility bills
  • help with your household food bills
  • help with other household bills

Additional Benefits

We also provide access to emergency funding (subject to availability) towards household expenses, such as household utility bills and household goods.

Overcoming barriers to employment.

There are many barriers to employment faced by a number of people who desperately want to work, but for some reason they just can’t get an interview or a job. Why is this? What are the possible barriers that hold them back? And how does joining the WorkClub help overcome these barriers?

Lack of experience, little or no work history, gaps in employment

When you join the WorkClub, you will in effect be working for us – albeit on a self-employed, commission-only basis. We cannot pay you a wage, but we can pay you rewards for introducing others, and for sharing job opportunities on social media. This will be your work. Your work will be looking for work and helping others who are looking for work, sharing job opportunities through social media and inviting others to join the WorkClub.

This means that you can list this as work on your CV when you are applying for other jobs. It needn’t show up as a gap in your employment if you are in between jobs, and if you have little or no work history this can help you start. It will also give you experience in social media marketing, sales and marketing. We may also be able to arrange work experience for you with local employers, although this is something we are currently working on and not currently available.

If you are diligent in your efforts with the WorkClub, this will be reflected in your rewards, which will build up over a period of time. This enables us to measure your efforts and provide you will a reference which reflects this.

Lack of training or skills

When you join the WorkClub, you can also access our online training, for a small monthly fee of £6. This gives you access to two online courses a month, and will show a prospective employer that you are willing to undergo training. Certification in subjects such as Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Essential First Aid, Customer Service, and many others, can also make you more attractive to a potential employer.

We also have other courses, such as Care Certificates, Food Safety Level 2, all of which are available under the scheme, and are invaluable for those related professions.

Other courses included are: Interview Skills, Starting Work, Workplace Success, Personal Development.

Long-term welfare recipient

It’s probably not a surprise to hear that being a long-term recipient of welfare benefits can be a barrier to employment.

As long as you remain a member of the WorkClub, you will earn rewards. And the longer you remain a member, the greater the rewards will be. They will build up over a period of time. And whilst we cannot guarantee that they will ever replace your welfare benefits, there is the potential that they can build up to provide a reasonable monthly income. This will take time, and whilst your rewards are building up, they won’t affect your entitlement to any welfare benefits you may be receiving.

There is no guarantee of income – how much rewards you earn depends on your efforts and the efforts of others.

How to Join the WorkClub £2.50 per month Work Book purchase

You may choose to stay as a member if you wish, but we will get in touch to make sure that this is something you want to continue with.
